Welcome to NCODH
The NC Office on Disability and Health (NCODH) works to promote the health and wellness of persons with disabilities in North Carolina through an integrated program of policy, practice and evaluation. The goals of the NCODH are:
- To increase awareness and understanding of the health related needs of individuals with disabilities
- Improve access and inclusion
- Develop health promotion programs and educational materials for consumers and professionals
- Conduct and report on research and data collection
- Affect disability policy related to these areas
Access for All: Implementing Fundamental Elements of Accessibility
NCODH received a two-year grant from the North Carolina Governor's Crime Commission in 2007 to help domestic violence and sexual assault agencies implement ten fundamental elements of accessibility.

The NCODH receives primary funding from the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention as a collaborative endeavor between the Division
of Public Health of the Department of Health and Human Services and the FPG Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
