Our mining research has resulted in 32 prestigious R&D 100 Awards (http://www.rdmag.com/awards.aspx). These awards, presented annually by R&D Magazine, demonstrate a mark of excellence that is recognized by industry, government, and academia as proof that a new product is one of the most innovative ideas of the year. In addition, NIOSH Mining researchers have earned numerous individual awards and patents for their high level of research.
