The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recruits, on an ongoing basis, scientists and engineers for our world-class mining research laboratories in Pittsburgh, PA, and Spokane, WA. We solicit candidates in all mining-applicable disciplines, including chemistry, physics, and engineering (mining, chemical, mechanical, electrical, and biomechanical). Although we may not have a vacancy listed at the present time that matches your qualifications, we are still interested in talking with you to discuss upcoming opportunities that may provide a good fit with your credentials. We are currently seeking accomplished and highly motivated professionals who want to be a part of a world-class and customer-focused research organization. We have a well-funded research program and offer a competitive salary and benefits package. See the NIOSH Mining Career Opportunities Flyer.

NIOSH also has a special hiring program for Associate and Senior Research Fellows. This program provides opportunities for candidates with advanced degrees in scientific areas and opens the hiring to include experts from around the world.
