Keck-Gonnerman Steam Engine at antique Gas & Steam Engine Show.

Antique Gas & Steam Engine Show

This three-day show is held the last weekend in September at Carson Park Fairgrounds in Paducah. In the 22 years since it was started, the show has grown enormously, hosting exhibits of about 800 restored farm machines, tractors, automobiles, railroad motor cars, wagons, and stagecoaches. Wheat is threshed in an antique machine several times a day. An antique tractor pull is featured on two evenings, a horse and mule pull is held Saturday afternoon, and there is a parade Saturday and Sunday. The show is sponsored by the Lone Oak Lions Club, and all proceeds support Lions charities. Documentation includes written text, photographs, news clippings, and a program from the 1999 show.
