Missouri State Fair
This fair, held in Sedalia for 11 days in August
each year, is a showcase for the state's agriculture. Beef cattle
are traditionally a prominent feature of the exhibits and
competitions. Youth involvement through 4-H Clubs and Future
Farmers of America plays a vital role. The project chronicles the
history of the fair, which began in 1901, and its role in shaping
and preserving the state's agricultural heritage. A copy of the new
Missouri State Fairgrounds Master Plan is included as an indication
of what the future holds in store.
