Bob Holt: Fiddler from the Missouri Ozarks

Bob Holt regularly performs at three monthly dances and one weekly jam session within a seventy-mile radius of Springfield, Missouri. He began playing the fiddle at local events in southern Missouri about fifty years ago. The project documents Holt's fiddling techniques and tune styles; his performances, informal music sessions, and teaching; the dance events and styles; and reminiscences of the music of his childhood. It includes video clips, an audio cassette of fiddle tunes performed by Holt, 12 photographs, and text including a brief biography and a 28-page interview with Holt.
