The Phoenix Little Theatre

The Phoenix Little Theatre is the oldest continuously operating arts organization (theatre) west of the Mississippi - at 79 years old - and one of the oldest theatre companies in the country.

The actor Nick Nolte, Rosemary DeCamp, and Beverly Garland all got their start on the Phoenix Little Theatre stage, and Steven Spielberg aired his first film, Firelight, here.

Project is documented with a commemorative 65th anniversary book, The Phoenix Little Theatre, 1920-1985, and schedules for the 1999 season of adult and children's theater.

Originally submitted by: John B. Shadegg, Representative (4th District).
