Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival

This three-day annual event at the Berea Fairgrounds celebrates Irish culture, while benefiting local and national charities. The tradition was founded in 1982 by John O'Brien with a group of dedicated and creative volunteers, who sought to preserve the many special traditions of his native Ireland by showcasing them for one weekend each summer.

This celebration of the region's Irish heritage features the best in Irish entertainment from Ireland, Canada, and the United States on nine stages. Other highlights include Irish plays performed daily, pipe bands, and Irish dancers. The collection of performers carries on the Irish legacy of producing some of the world's finest authors, poets, playwrights, and music. Cultural Hall exhibits feature a different theme each year. Irish goods, crafts, and foods are also displayed and offered for sale.

Documentation includes a text report, photos, and video.
