Fenway Lives: Baseball Culture

This project documents the culture of baseball club employees through the example of the Boston Red Sox, who have played in Fenway Park since 1912. Interviews with the public address announcer, organist, producer of Red Sox baseball on TV, television camera operator, team photographer, commissary worker, several peanut vendors, beer vendor, and ticket seller highlight the rituals, patterns, and habits of the park, its players, and fans. The ten transcribed interviews are supplemented with ten color 8 x 10 photographs of the interviewees and an 18-page essay on Fenway Park.
