50 Years with the Carbon Hill Homecoming
The project documents the inhabitants of Carbon
Hill working together to put on the four-day festival, now in its
50th year. Among the offerings are carnival rides, softball
competitions, bingo, a parade, and fireworks. Once a thriving coal
mining community, the small town uses the homecoming proceeds to
help fund its maintenance and improvement.
