Our transcription: Our shrinking supplies, rising prices, and the environmental cost of using fossil fuels has prompted a search for other forms of energy. Here human power has again responded to alter the course of our future by creating new machines and new technologies to capture the intensity of the Sun, harness the force of the wind, and use the heat of the Earth's interior. These energy sources are fundamentally different from fossil fuels. They produce little or no pollution, and they are, for the most part, renewable. These sources of energy have the potential to play a vital role in our future for generations to come.
