Our transcription: Some volcanic cones are made up entirely of fragments. Cinder cones are good examples. Cinder cones like the one behind me are very different from composite volcanoes or shield volcanoes. They're small in comparison, and the flanks of the cones are quite steep. A cinder cone is composed of fragments of volcanic rock called "cinders". Like volcanic ash, cinders are droplets of lava formed during an explosive eruption. The drops that form cinders, however, are much larger than the ash particles indicating that the explosion was much less powerful than that of a typical composite volcano.
