Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) promotes democratic government and the market economy. One of its departments, the Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry is responsible for providing the governments with advice and information on scientific, technological and industrial environment and its relation to growth, employment and well-being.
