Institute for Public Policy Research (Namibia)
Windhoek, Namibia

The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) was officially launched in April 2001 as a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to deliver independent, analytical, critical yet constructive research into social, political and economic issues that affect development in Namibia. It has been established in the belief that development is best promoted through free and critical debate informed by quality research. IPPR's research activities include the Democracy and Governance Research Programme, which examines issues relating to the sustenance of democracy both in Namibia and SADC, and the Public Policy Analysis Programme, which examines the effectiveness of Namibia’s economic policies in a range of areas including fiscal and monetary policies, trade, finance, education, health, poverty, corruption, and black economic empowerment.
