Japan Bank for International Cooperation

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has a statutory mandate to undertake lending and other operations for the promotion of Japanese exports, imports and economic activities overseas. The JBIC Institute was established as the research section of JBIC. It's main roles are (1) to conduct theoretical and empirical research in the area of International Financial Cooperation; (2) to study activities related to foreign direct investment, trade and International finance; and (3) to study developing economies and provide advisory support to developing countries in improving development policy planning.
