The research of APSEG applied economists falls within several sub-disciplinary clusters focusing on grappling with issues confronting Australia, Asia, and the Pacific. The Policy and Governance Program publishes dicussion papers on a range of policy issues, including issues of political institutions and institutional design, accountability and public sector management, and the relationship between political and economic reform. The Graduate Program in International and Development Economics publishes a series of working papers focusing on issues of international and development economics, environmental, and natural resource economics. The occasional paper series on natural resource and environmental management covers topics ranging from the economic valuation of environmental impacts, to social impact assessment, and community-based management in the Asia Pacific region.
