This is a guide to finding information on federal government contracting. It is intended for anyone, from
the aspiring contractor to those who have "been there." Included
are both electronic and print sources, statistical sources, news sources,
and administrative sources.
There are some resources included which cover the legal and/or accounting side of government contracts but this guide does not focus
on that aspect of the subject; it is more about the business end of
government contracting.
Even the casual user may note the large number of resources on or sponsored by the Department of Defense (DoD), a reflection of the fact that
that DoD accounts for the lion's share of all government contracts. Not all DoD contracts are weapons-related, however, and many opportunities and much useful information is available on those sites.
