Introduction

This bibliography includes books, periodicals and electronic resources covering business, management, and economic trends in East Asia. The guide includes English language material that looks at larger macroeconomic policies and trends, as well as those microeconomic issues that involve company management, corporate cultures, and conducting business in East Asian markets. The printed materials compiled in the guide were selected from the Library of Congress collection. The Library of Congress has an extensive collection that provides a valuable resource for both historical and contemporary research.

The guide is composed of six sections:

Each section provides a brief list of useful sources on those three countries that are available within the Library of Congress. Section six, Web Resources, provides electronic resources that are available outside of the Library, including articles, working papers, and other studies from distinguished policy and academic institutions here in the U.S. and abroad. However, it should be noted that this is not a comprehensive bibliography including all subject related material within the Library's collection. The purpose of this guide is to serve as a brief introduction to relevant sources for individuals researching business, management and the economies of East Asia and to assist with additional research collection efforts.
