Purpose
Deploy 2 benthic chambers in Hingham Bay (Station 8) and
collected up to 8 diver-collected push cores.
Return in about 1 week to recover the benthic chambers.
Information to be Derived
Samples and Chemical Analysis
Summary
On June 16, deployed two benthic chambers in Hingham Bay
(Station 8) and collected 6 diver-collected push cores.
Water depth was 24-feet.
The cores were 4.5-inch ID.
Extrusion pistons were inserted upon removal from the bottom.
Core 8-6 had pre-installed fins for erosion experiment.
Cores 8-3 through 8-6 were x-rayed at Falmouth Hospital.
On June 23, the benthic chambers were recovered.
One station occupied.
