Financial Statements
Financial statements of the Library of Congress and select trust and revolving funds provide important financial information for the Congress, the Library of Congress Trust Fund Board, the James Madison Council and the American people on the stewardship, management, and leadership of the public and private funds entrusted to us. To date, the Library's consolidated and the James Madison National Council Fund's financial statements have received clean (unqualified) opinion from independent auditing firms starting with the fiscal year 1996 reports. All of the National Digital Library Trust Fund financial statements received clean (unqualified) opinion from independent auditing firms. The Cooperative Acquisition Program's financial statements have received clean (unqualified) opinion from independent auditing firms since the fiscal year 1999 reports (the second fiscal year of the program). The Library of Congress Trust Fund Board report is unaudited.
