Stalking: Know it. Name it. Stop it. (January 2009)
January marks the 6th annual observance of National Stalking Awareness Month. OVC is joining DOJ's Office on Violence Against Women and the National Center for Victims of Crime Stalking Resource Center to raise awareness of this violent, often deadly crime affecting more than 1 million women and nearly 400,000 men annually.
Challenge your community to learn more and take action using the educational resources, media tools, and posters available off the new Stalking Awareness Web site. OVC also offers relevant publications and links to related organizations to assist stalking victims, service providers, and allied professionals. |
