We appreciate your interest in the Secretary of Education's Commission on Opportunity in Athletics. The Commission office closed as of March 15, 2003, and we are no longer accepting correspondence. If you have questions regarding Title IX and its enforcement, you may contact the Department at customerservice@inet.ed.gov.

On February 26, 2003, the Secretary's Commission on Opportunity in Athletics issued its final report. Secretary Paige announced the creation of this blue-ribbon panel of sports professionals and educators on June 27, 2002. Its purpose was to examine ways to strengthen enforcement and expand opportunities to ensure fairness for all college athletes.
