| both the current regluations and the new Act mention the need for all staff working as teachers in EArly Head Start obtain a CDA or an equivlent credential. Currently it is within one year of hire and will with the new rule be needed upon hire. Would an Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education that includes coursework in the same 8 areas of competencies qualify as an equivlent credential?
