| Hello: I represent Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties. A number of Head Start staff recently returned from a Head Start Reauthorization Act Training during which they were told the Reauthorization Act now requires that Head Start Teacher background checks be COMPLETED, not just submitted (as provided for in Minn. Stat. 254C.04) BEFORE a teacher can begin working in a classroom. Is this information accurate? If so, where can that language be found in the Act and has anything been published discussing the change? Thank you for your assistance.
