| In reauthorization, the law states that we will not place anyone in a work position until we have received the criminal background check and child protective clearance. In Virginia, we must fill out the paperwork within 7 days of employment, according to licensing (we do it the first day) and we are allowed to place them in the position while waiting on these background checks to be returned. In our state, it takes from 3 weeks (very rare) to two months to get back these forms. All we read says that regulations will be changed to deal with issues, but isn't this one of several parts of the law that we are to put into effect immediately?
