Speaker Biography: Daniel Mark Epstein is the author of "Lincoln and Whitman," as well as biographies of Aimee Semple McPherson, Nat King Cole and Edna St. Vincent Millay. His poems appear in The New Yorker, The Atlantic and The Paris Review, among other national publications. He has authored verse plays, translations and eight volumes of poetry, the latest being "The Traveler's Calendar." Among other honors, he holds the Prix de Rome Award from the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters.
