The goal of the
Hawai'i Immunization Program is to prevent diseases such as whooping
cough, measles, hepatitis B, chickenpox, tetanus, and influenza through
vaccination. Many of these diseases are commonly thought of as
childhood diseases but may also occur later in adolescent or adult
years.
