Cores were collected usin (g push poles from the surface ship )
near the time of low tide (.)
Purpose
Collect sediment cores from monitoring stations 4 and 8 in
Information to be Derived
Times series data;Samples and Chemical Analysis;Grain size analysis;
Summary
4 sediment cores were collected using the push pole method.
Notes
Due to the current and the difficulty of collecting cores at
Station 4, we decided to cancel attempting core collection at Station 8 (which would have had deeper water and stronger current).
USCG 49 foot buoy tender used.
Got Help? For 05033, we would appreciate any information on -- activity type, analog materials, contract, days at sea, dive count, funding, kms of navigation, national plan, NGDC Info, owner, platform, project number, publications, scanned materials, seismic description, station count, station description, submersible, tabulated info.
