Deputy Director, Immunization Services Division, National Immunization Program, NCIRD

 

Jeanne M. Santoli, MD, MPH, is the Deputy Director of the Immunization Services Division in the National Immunization Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This division administers the Vaccines for Children Program and a grants program to state and urban area health departments; conducts health services research; provides training and education to health professionals; provides for measurement of state and national level vaccination coverage via the National Immunization Survey; and supports the development of immunization information systems.

With particular regard to influenza activities, the Immunization Services Division has responsibility for coordinating activities around influenza immunization, working in close collaboration with state and local public health partners, and for developing contingency plans to address seasonal vaccine supply disruptions, including shortages of delays. In addition, the Division provides leadership related to vaccine distribution plans related to pandemic influenza preparedness.

She received her medical degree and trained in pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Following her residency, Dr. Santoli completed a fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics and a Masters in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
