Summary: This handbook describes subsidized child care services from the ABC Child Care Program in South Carolina. The ABC Program pays all or a portion of child care fees for children up to age 13 years. The amount of funding varies according the age of the child, hours and weeks of care needed, and choice of provider. The topics covered in the handbook include: (1) choosing a child care provider, (2) choosing self-arranged child care, (3) payment of fees, (4) provider payments, (5) reporting changes in family situation, (6) changing child care providers, (7) parent complaint process, (8) fair hearing, (9) redetermination of eligibility, (10) absences, and (11) reason for termination of child care.
