Equipment Used
seine, 20-foot beach se (ine)
Purpose
Collect juvenile river herring for mercury determinations.
Summary
Approximately 15-20 juvenile river herring were collected.
Other fish (1-2 inches long) were also collected. The collection
was accomplished at the south end of Oyster Pond at the path that
leads to Surf Drive.
Notes
A seine constructed of 2- 20 foot pieces would be an
advantage for future fish collections at this site.
