Health Communications Group

The Health Communications Group was officially established in August 1997 as a one-stop communications center for DFBMD. The group offers a variety of services and specialized health education and communication functions, including graphic design, website development, editing, and writing.

The group manages the interface of health communications within the division's vision, mission, goals and objectives and create an infrastructure to deliver effective, accurate, and timely disease prevention and control messages using many methodologies and tools. Working closely with the Director of DFBMD, branch chiefs, health education and communication specialists, CDC and other public and private organizations, the group meets daily short-term demands for creative ideas and products while teaming up with the division staff to embed health education information and communication marketing strategies into the DFBMD long-term mission.
