The St. Louis Public Library hosted the September 22, 2005, ceremony. One-hundred-and-three-year-old Katharine Chambers of St. Louis, who is Missouri’s first 102 inductee, was guest of honor. Missouri secretary of state Robin Carnahan and NLS Network Division chief Carolyn Hoover Sung presented Chambers with a certificate, a pin, and a letter from NLS director Frank Kurt Cylke. Nine other Missourians, whose names, ages, and hometowns are listed below, were also inducted into the club.
