AnthonyMaking Physical Activity a Part of Anthony's Life

Anthony, 65, has been active and fit all his life. He does 150 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity each week, plus muscle-strengthening activities on 2 days.

Anthony's Physical Activity Routine

Anthony gets up early 5 days a week and runs 3 miles. This takes him about 30 minutes. Remember, the 150 minutes of vigorous-intensity running counts as 300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity.

With help from the staff at his retirement community's fitness facility, Anthony designed a strength training program using weight machines, which he does 2 days a week.
