This online training contains three modules and includes self-testing.
This site is an instructor's guide to mastering and teaching BioPreferred. It is equipped with student and teacher training material. Trainers will use information from this site to begin teaching BioPreferred information to members of their respective agencies.
This workshop provides an overview of Federal pollution prevention initiatives and how they relate to the DOD acquisition process. This course is DOD/Interservice Environmental Education Review Board (ISEERB) approved. The workshop demonstrates to Federal employees how, through affirmative procurement, we can create markets for recovered materials and environmentally preferred products and services.
Offered by the Defense Acquisition University (DAU), the course number is CLC 046. Green procurement is the purchase of products and services with favorable energy or environmental attributes in accordance with federally-mandated "green" procurement preference programs. The DoD's Green Procurement Program is a comprehensive strategy for implementing environmentally preferred practices while sustaining the overall mission. The overall objective of this lesson is to identify the objectives and background of DoD's Green Procurement Program. This module takes approximately two hours to complete. It contains an end of module test that must be passed with a 100% score.

The Center will enable you to engage in active learning from the convenience of your home or office while eliminating the costs associated with traditional face-to-face courses. Most online courses will allow participants to update their knowledge base, whereas some will serve as refreshers. Qualified instructors will guide you through the coursework as you work at your own pace through the readings, problem sets, and discussions. Course topics include NOx control, internal auditing, and environmental practices review.

Environmental professionals can keep current with what is happening in their fields at the University of Florida TREEO Center. UF/TREEO offers more than 250 non-credit, professional development courses each year in the environmental and health and safety as well as air quality, asbestos abatement, GIS, GPS, groundwater, hazardous materials, health and safety, ISO 14000, landfill design, lead abatement, solid waste, water and wastewater.
The CWP, in collaboration with the River Network has developed the Watershed Protection Institute. The Watershed Protection Institute (WPI) is an intensive, interactive five day program designed to train watershed leaders on practical watershed and site planning techniques to protect the health of less developed watersheds, a need that is particularly great in rural and recently urbanizing communities.

The CERCLA Education Center (CEC) offers U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on-scene coordinators (OSC), remedial project managers (RPM), site assessment managers (SAM), and other environmental professionals training courses on the many aspects of Superfund and the latest environmental technologies. The courses provide not only basic definitions and procedures, but detailed presentations on EPA's role with other federal agencies as well.

A system of software applications used widely to plan for and respond to chemical emergencies. It is one of the tools developed by EPA's Chemical Emergency Preparedness and Prevention Office (CEPPO) and NOAA, to assist front-line chemical emergency planners and responders. They can use CAMEO to access, store, and evaluate information critical for developing emergency plans. In addition, CAMEO supports regulatory compliance by helping users meet the chemical inventory reporting requirements of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA, also known as SARA Title III). CAMEO also can be used with a separate software application called LandView ® to display EPA environmental databases and demographic/economic information to support analysis of environmental justice issues.

DAU provides the Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) workforce training. All Service and DoD employees may attend DAU classes. Non-DoD federal agency and defense industry employees may attend DAU courses at no cost on a space available basis.

Established by the U.S. EPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water, the Drinking Water Academy (DWA) is a long-term training initiative whose primary goal is to expand EPA, State, and Tribal capabilities to implement the 1996 Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). The National Directory of AHERA Accredited Courses (the "Course Directory") is intended primarily for use by federal and state agencies involved in the training and accreditation of asbestos control professionals under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986 (AHERA), as amended by the Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Reauthorization Act of 1990 (ASHARA), under which the EPA Model Accreditation plan was issued.
