Federated States of Micronesia,
Pohnpei State
Within the Federated States of Micronesia, the Pohnpei
State TB program will coordinate several World TB Day activities.
Key will be a mass media information campaign which will disseminate
information about the disease. An accompanying hotline will be available
to the general public to answer questions and provide detailed information.
The hotline will also serve to evaluate the success of the radio
programs based on the volume of calls received (the radio programs
will refer listeners to the hotline). These services will be available
starting one week before the 24th of March and will continue to
be available through World TB Day. The mass media campaign would
focus on radio messages broadcasted during prime time. The campaign
will also include the distribution of informational printed matter
with information about the hotline, including posters and fliers,
in public places such as post offices, churches, and stores. The
