February 25, 2008 | Safety Net: Networking for Disaster Response | Approximately 30 directors and staff representing US Federal libraries were convened by LC to develop a framework for a network of federal libraries to share mutual assistance in the greater Washington, D. C. region. |
December 7, 2006 | Safeguarding Document Collections, Part II | Meeting convened by LC to update stakeholders on LC's planning strategy and elicited ideas and feedback to help the subsequent shaping of the Library Services Strategic Plan with regard to preservation objectives. Three focus groups discussed research, emergency mitigation, training and other preservation needs and objectives. |
