By Public Broadcasting System , Ed.
2003

Summary: This document presents advice to parents about talking with children concerning war and violence. Communication strategies are provided for talking and listening to children. It is important to understand questions from the perspective of the child, and to find out what the child already knows before answering a question. Art and play allow children to work out what they’ve heard or seen about war and violence. Age-appropriate insights are offered on limiting media exposure, recognizing signs of stress, and determining how each age interprets war and violence.
