Email from Florence Wong, 27 Jul 2004:
I've attached a revised version of the P192SC bathy
for you to update Infobank.
I don't need another merged copy back.
After comparing the first surface calculation with
surrounding NOAA data, I subtracted 20 meters more.
I also deleted these records, which had no depths:
19920311715000
19920311720000
19920311725000
19920311730000
19920311735000
19920311740000
I changed the depths for these records
to be closer to neighboring points:
19920331615000 939 25 -1741.5 to 19920331615000 399 25 -754.4
19920340230000 492 25 -924.4 to 19920340230000 392 25 -741.6
David Piper of the Geological Survey of Canada provided
a file of depths recorded every 5 min during P-1-92-SC
to Bill Normark.
The depths are in fathoms based on v = 800 fm/s (1462.4 m/s)
and are relative to the transducer,
which Bill estimated at about 5 m below sea level.
A comparison of the first calculated surface
to adjoining NOAA Coastal Relief Model (90-m gridded data)
suggested the P192SC values needed to be 20 meters deeper.
All corrections are reflected in the attached file.

Could you help me merge the bathy data
I just got from Bill Normark to the nav for P192SC?
The depth came in fathoms and
I added 5m for the location of the transducer belowdecks
