School Improvement Fund Awards by State.

In order to receive funds that become available after July 1, 2007, States must submit an amended State plan for section 1003(g). Title I School Improvement funds are available for obligation by local educational agencies for a maximum of 27 months after funds become available on July 1, 2007. They remain available for obligation by LEA under the initial period of availability for 15 months. Under section 421(b) of the General Education Provisions Act, any funds that remain unobligated may be carried over for obligation for an additional 12 months.
