bullet graphicJanuary 7 (just released) Births: Final Data for 2006  - Latest final data on births in the U.S., including state-based and national information on teen births, unmarried births, multiple births, maternal and infant health data such as prenatal care, smoking during pregnancy, cesarean deliveries, and other indicators, by detailed age groups, state, race, ethnicity and gender. Based on data from birth certificates filed in state vital statistics offices and reported to NCHS through the National Vital Statistics System.

    bullet graphicJanuary 21 (tentative) Fetal and Perinatal Mortality, United States, 2005 - This report presents data on fetal and perinatal mortality from the National Vital Statistics System.  Data are analyzed by maternal age, marital status, race, Hispanic origin and state of residence; and by infant birthweight, gestational age, plurality, and sex.  Trends in fetal and perinatal mortality are also examined. 

    bullet graphicJanuary 28 (tentative) Who Adopts? Characteristics of Women and Men Who Have Adopted Children - This report presents data from the National Survey of Family Growth concerning the characteristics of those who have adopted children in the United States.  

    bullet graphicJanuary 28 (tentative) Ambulatory Surgery in the United States, 2006 - This report presents estimates of surgical and non-surgical procedures performed on an ambulatory basis in hospitals and freestanding ambulatory surgery centers in the United States during 2006. Data are presented by types of facilities, age and sex of patient, and geographic region.  Major categories of procedures and diagnoses are shown by age, and region. Based on data collected by the 2006 National Survey of Ambulatory Surgery.

    bullet graphicJanuary 28 (tentative) Role of International Medical Graduates in Providing Office-Based Medical Care: United States, 2005-06 - Data from the 2005 and 2006 National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey looks at the important contributions of office-based international medical graduates to the U.S. health care system, particularly in serving underserved populations and practicing in primary care shortage areas outside of urban areas.
