MAHC Structure and Organization: Strawman Outline

This draft outline or “strawman” is intended to provide a framework for discussing the MAHC content and help users identify where various modules fit in the full model code. As with any “strawman”, the numbering format, organization, and structure are subject to change as the MAHC progresses.

MAHC User Information

On the left portion of each page is a two or three word keyword summary showing the information contained in the corresponding code wording. Critical items have their number in red font and have an asterisk next to their number. In the far right column of the MAHC are letters denoting the grade for those sections. A grading system is provided for the recommended standards. It is based on the perceived reliability and accuracy of the material presented. The grading system is divided into three levels:

1.0, 2.0, 3.0 Preface, User Guide, Definitions

These modules include the MAHC Preface, guidelines for MAHC use, and an initial list of definitions to be used with the MAHC. Suggestions for further terms/definitions to be added are welcome.

8.0 Annexes

This annex contains explanations and references supporting the Fecal/Vomit /Blood Contamination Response module posted on October 1, 2008.

6.0 Policies and Management

This module covers response guidelines for disinfection of water and surfaces following contamination with feces, vomit or blood.
