THE WISE GUIDE KEY
The Wise Guide was designed to offer visitors to loc.gov an introduction to the millions of entertaining, educational and useful materials that the Library of Congress offers on its various Web sites. Articles for the Wise Guide's monthly editions are drawn from materials in the following areas, all of which can be reached through links at www.loc.gov or through the particular URLs cited below:

 AMERICAN MEMORY

More than 7.5 million items drawn from the American historical collections of the Library and other repositories. These items are offered in more than 100 collections, from papers of the U.S. presidents, Civil War photographs and early films of Thomas Edison to papers documenting the women's suffrage and civil rights movements, Jazz Age photographs and the first baseball cards.

 ONLINE EXHIBITIONS
Interpreted presentations of materials from the Library and other institutions. This site offers those who cannot visit the Library in Washington a chance to view major exhibitions online.
