Relevant Professional Experience:
Professor Gravatt’s 22-year career spans a wide range of technologies and skills. Much of this experience was acquired at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center where he began providing systems engineering support for ground system development and advance to a position of management over a team of 65 software developers who provided development and sustaining engineering for over 200 applications. He spent two years during the "dotcom boom" as a consultant managing and developing commercial web sites and applications. Professor Gravatt served as the Mayor of the Town of Landover Hills, Maryland (1991-1995) and as an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University (2004-2008) where he taught a Graduate-level course in Software Engineering for the World Wide Web.
