Course Offerings for FY09

IRM College Enrollment Procedure
Students must register for intensive courses no later than two (2) weeks prior to the start date of a course offering. In order to facilitate several administrative functions, enrollments will generally NOT be accepted after that date. This procedure will allow the Registrar to confirm attendance with enrolled students and subsequently notify/enroll wait-listed students in a more timely fashion. Students must be sure the Registrar has their correct email addresses and they must respond to emails seeking to confirm their registration.

The decision to run or cancel each course offering will also be made no later than two (2) weeks before the offering is scheduled to begin.

Course websites on Blackboard will be accessible to those confirmed enrollees at least 13 days prior to the start date of a course offering so that students may read and review materials and participate in pre-course activities as required.

Intensive Program Courses are available in two different formats:

• The e-Resident format uses a blended approach to engage learners in various learning activities:

• Pre-course materials in Blackboard (Bb): Students may access course materials up to 13 days prior to the start date of the course through our online learning platform, Blackboard.

• In-residence portion: Students attend a one-week in-residence portion (see published Schedule of Classes for dates).

• Graded assignment portion: Unless enrolled in the course for professional development, students will complete an end-of-course assignment.  This assignment normally consists of a paper or project.  The student will engage with the faculty and/or other students virtually for up to three weeks after the in-residence instructional period.

• The Distributed Learning (DL) format engages students virtually in 10 to 12 weeks of instruction in Bb, use of online library resources, and assignments with faculty and other students using Bb for communication and interaction.

• Graded assignment portion: Unless enrolled in the course for professional development, students will complete an end-of-course assignment.  This assignment normally consists of a paper or project.  The student will engage with the faculty and/or other students virtually for up to three weeks after the instructional period.
