Developed by the Federal Remediation Technologies Roundtable
(FRTR), the DST Matrix contains publicly-funded decision
support software tools for environmental restoration
activities from such agencies as the U.S. EPA, DoD, and DoE.
This matrix displays the applicability of each tool to
contaminant classes and media types, as well as software
types supported for input/output, and potential team members
that will maximize the use of each tool. The purpose of the
matrix is not to compare the tools against one another, but
rather, to provide an evaluation of the capabilities and uses
of the tools to help project managers better understand how
to select the tools appropriate for their specific site
needs. Also included are direct links to the tool software
homepages, the matrix-development report, and case studies
that show how select tools can be used as part of a cleanup project.
