This web site is provided by the United States Geological Surveys
Western Earthquake Hazard Team as part of our effort to reduce earthquake
hazard in the United States. We are based in Menlo Park, California,
in the San Francisco Bay Region, with additional offices in Pasadena
(in partnership with the California Institute of Technology) and
in Seattle
(in partnership with the University of Washington).
We are part of the USGS Geologic
Division, and receive funding from the USGS
Earthquake Hazards Program, which is funded, in turn, by the
National Earthquake
Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP).
