Sixth National Child Support Enforcement Conference

TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS DC-96-31

RE: Sixth National Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Conference

Dear Colleague:

As you know (please see DC-96-25), OCSE's Sixth National Child Support Enforcement Conference will be held September 15-17, 1996, at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in the historic district of Alexandria, Virginia.

The theme for this year's conference is: "ACHIEVING SUCCESS FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES: A Results Oriented Forum for Child Support Professionals." Targeted for IV-D managers and IV-D trainers, this conference places emphasis on how we can achieve success as partners through strategic planning. Together, participants and faculty from OCSE, States, and our co-sponsors, Policy Studies Inc. (PSI) and Service Design Associates (SDA), will explore timely, major issues impacting the child support enforcement community. To continue building our partnership, we will ask several IV-D Directors to participate as presenters and/or facilitators. Enclosed is a tentative agenda.

Space is limited to two persons per State: one IV-D manager (you or a designated manager who is involved in your program's strategic planning efforts) and one IV-D trainer. Please inform the appropriate staff about the opportunity as soon as possible. If you are unable to fill your slots, they will be made available to other States.

The conference registration fee is $100. This fee is eligible for Federal Financial Participation at the regular matching rate. Enclosed is a Participant Registration Form. The registration deadline is August 16, 1996.

You will also find enclosed housing information and a Housing Reservation Form. Hotel rooms are available for $104 per night (tax included). Participants should reserve a room as soon as possible. The hotel guarantees this rate and room availability through August 16, 1996. For your convenience, rooms (if available) can also be reserved at the conference rate for two days before and after the conference.

Complimentary shuttle service is available to and from National Airport and the National Airport Metrorail Station for all guests and conference attendees. Both are within two miles of the hotel.
