TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed please find the certification listing for your State for the Federal Tax Refund Offset Program's 1996 processing year. This is a complete listing accepted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for certification. Those cases determined by IRS to be unaccountable have been forwarded to the Social Security Administration's (SSA's) Enumeration Verification System (EVS)

to obtain corrected social security numbers. As soon as we receive corrected SSNs from SSA for these cases they will be returned to you for correction so they can be resubmitted for the 1997 processing year.
