CSE Program Resource Directory
July 19, 1996 DC96-35
TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS
Dear Colleague:
In September 1994, as you may recall, the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) disseminated the Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Program Resource Directory to assist you in identifying trainers; individuals to serve as presenters at national and State/local CSE conferences and meetings; and as a convenient means for networking, consulting, and coordinating between and among members of the CSE community.
The Division of State and Local Assistance (DSLA) as described in DC-95-68, houses both the National Training Center and the new Technical Assistance Branch. The Technical Assistance Branch was established to expand the manner by which OCSE can provide you with strengthened support.
We want to update and expand the Directory to include individuals whose talents in the child support enforcement arena can be used in providing on site technical assistance in areas that cannot necessarily be addressed through training (e.g., "hands on" technical assistance to increase paternity establishment and/or child support collections, to develop case streamlining procedures, to recommend organizational changes, etc.).
The new Technical Assistance Section of the Directory will be organized into three parts. Part I, alphabetized by State, will provide information regarding State and local CSE staff and the areas of expertise in which they can provide technical assistance. Part II will include Federal CSE employees and Part III, titled "Other" will include non-IV-D persons.
Consequently, to have an updated Directory that is practical in both the areas of training and technical assistance I ask you to help us in two ways.
þFirst, please review the enclosures pertaining to your State. These are submittals in the present Directory and identify trainers and speakers in your State. Please indicate revisions on the enclosures and we will input the revised information.
þSecond, please provide us with name, title, address, telephone number, and subject area of experts within your State who would like to be listed in the Directory's new Technical Assistance Section.
-In addition, please provide a resume of each of these individuals.
